After the meeting of the 6th of February at the Italian Ministry of Agriculture in Rome, the people of the World Alliance for the Organic Territories meets again for a quick photo at the Biofach in Nuremberg, in the pavillon of Portugal, the country which last year hosted in Monsanto (Idanha a Nova) the first World Congress of Eco-Regions.

In Rome, the 6th of February, IN.N.E.R. (the International Network of Eco-Regions) and ALGOA network (representing the 240 Asian Governments in 16 countries) signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the Promotion of the Organic Territories. The two networks have the support of IFOAM international, IFOAM Asia, IFOAM EU, the Baltic Foundation of Lithuania and OFSP.
The participants indicate a common line of action on the strengthening and implementation of a global and dynamic organic food system.
The objective of the Mou is to join the efforts of all the actors that operate to transform the territories into the protagonists of a future scenario of sustainable agroecological development, spreading food territorial innovations, methodologies and organized systems to face up the major challenges of health, food and nutrition security, climate change and loss of biodiversity.
