Prof. Ove Jakobsen (https://ovejakobsen.com/) and Prof. Vivi Marie Lademoe Storsletten (https://www.nord.no/…/vivi-marie-lademoe-storsletten), promoters of the Organic District Nordland in Norway, are visiting the Cilento Bio-District this week. The establishment of the Organic District Nordland was an integral part of Bodø 2024 European Capital of Culture. Since 2021, Bodø has been a member of IN.N.E.R.
An important element of the Organic District is the concept of Ecological Economics, developed by Professor Ove D. Jakobsen at the University of Nord in Bodø. It is a holistic approach that considers the economy as an integral part of culture, social development and nature.
Prof. Ove Jakobsen and Prof. Vivi Marie Lademoe Storsletten established the mission’s operational base in Ascea Marina. They met with IN.N.E.R. President Emilio Buonomo, Cilento Bio-District President Anna Nigro, IN.N.E.R. Director Salvatore Basile, Bio-Districts Responsible for Communication Raffaele Basile. They visited the Anna dei Sapori organic farm in Castelnuovo Cilento, the Eco Museum of the Mediterranean Diet in Pioppi, the Paestum-Velia Archaeological sites, the organic dairy Vannulo in Capaccio. Over the next days, they will continue to explore the Cilento Bio-District and meet with various stakeholders to promote knowledge exchange between bio-districts.
